Time to bake some Christmas cheer!

This PDF pattern describes in US terminology how to crochet a set of festive Christmas Tree potholders as shown in pictures, made using sport weight cotton yarn and crochet hook size C (2.5 mm). Schachenmayr/SMC Catania was used to create the potholders in the pictures. Finished size will be approx. 6.7” x 6.7” (17 x 17 cm) including the edges.

These handy potholders with a decorated Christmas Tree depicted to their front sides, are made in 2 separate panels, worked in flat rows using tapestry technique, then joined together and finished with a pretty contrasting colored edging all around, including a hanging loop.
The potholders are double layered, making them sturdy and thick enough to hold all hot dishes.

Skill level: intermediate crochet.
